Obituary for Howard Michael Currington, Jr.
Howard Currington, Jr., 66, of Leesburg, was born June 16, 1946, to the late Howard Sr. and Eunice Currington in Ozark, AL. Howard joined Stanton First Baptist Church, Weirsdale, FL at an early age, and later joined Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Leesburg, FL. He graduated from Belleview-Santos High School, Belleview, FL, where he played Football and Basketball. He also attended Lake-Sumter Jr. College for two years. Howard was drafted into the Army while attending college in Tallahassee, and served his country for 4 years. Left to cherish his memories: two sons, Jason (Monica) Currington, and Jaron Currington, both of Leesburg, FL; two daughters, Lillian Bledsoe, Leesburg, FL, and Ashleigh Atkins, Miami, FL; one granddaughter, Jaila Currington; Step-Father, Lamar (Lela) Yopp, Weirsdale, FL; two sisters, Carolyn McFadden and Barbara Jackson, both of Leesburg, FL; one aunt, Grace Glover; a friend who was closer than a brother, Robert Mitchell; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Antioch Full Gospel Church, 1020 E. Main Street, Leesburg, FL, Rev. Tommie Jordan, Officiating.Â
