Obituary for Frankie Knovie Wiggerton
Frankie was born in Dade City, Florida, on October 15, 1949, to the late Jim and Maggie Wiggerton. He had three siblings: a sister, Marjorie, who preceded him in death; a brother, Larry of St. Petersburg, Florida; and sister, Marva Jean of Newark, New Jersey. Frankie passed away peacefully on December 30, 2021.
Frankie was educated in the public schools of Pasco County, graduating from Mickens High School in 1967. Following high school, he attended Bethune-Cookman College (University). Upon graduating, he served as a teacher in South Carolina prior to going into the U.S. Army. After serving in the armed forces, he returned to Dade City, where he worked for the Pasco County School Board. He later served as a probation officer in Pasco County.
Frankie really loved people and people loved him! He enjoyed having a good time! His favorite pastimes included sitting under the tree with his friends, telling tales, watching sports on television, (especially college football), and reading the newspaper. He especially loved his grands!
Frankie was preceded in death by his wife, Julia, and his daughter, Tarasha. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Robert, Orion, and Demarcus (Angelina); one daughter, Tameka; one brother, Larry (Rozalyne); one sister, Marva Jean (Dexter); one aunt, Frances; two uncles, Josh and Foster; seven granddaughters, Dyane, Magdalenna, Lasillar, Lanarie, Logan, Taragee, and Georgiana; one great-grandson, Marvin; a special friend, Janet; and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Frankie will be missed, but our personal memories of him and his laughter will remain.
