Obituary for Earl Ward
Earl Lawrence Ward was born on July 8, 1941, in Leesburg, FL, to the late Robert Lee Ward, Sr. and Sarah Givens Ward. Earl graduated from Carver Heights High School in 1961. He left Leesburg at an early age and moved to Niagara Falls, New York for many years before returning to Leesburg. He caught the morning train to glory on February 5, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memories: three sisters, Willie F. Keith, Jane Ward, and Ernestine Bufford, all of Leesburg, FL; six brothers, Robert Ward, Jr., Leesburg, FL, Otto (Pamela) White, Orlando, FL, Genora (Jerri) Ward, Miami, FL, Eddie Ward, Miami, FL, Gene Ward and Willie Ward, both of Leesburg, FL; three aunts, Mamie Dixon, Leesburg, FL,  Johnnie Mae Roundtree and Sallie Mae Simmons, both of Miami, FL, Emma Johnson, Detroit, MI, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.  Public viewing will be held 5-7pm, Friday, February 10, 2012, at Mt. Olive Progressive Baptist Church, 405 South Childs Street, Leesburg, FL. Rev, James Brown, Pastor. A Celebration of Life will also be held at Mt. Olive Progressive Baptist Church, 1pm, Saturday, February 11, 2012.
