Obituary for Wilbur Leeks
Life’s journey for Deacon Wilbur Leeks began on December 15, 1936 in Bascom, Florida. He was the first born of Willie and Beatrice Leeks. At an early age the family relocated to Leesburg, Florida where Wilbur attended Lake County Training School.
Some of his career paths included being a Citrus Contractor for many years and later he started his own trucking business. He truly enjoyed being his own boss.
On April 11, 1978, he was united in marriage to Linda Reese.
He was a devoted Deacon of Antioch Full Gospel Church and remained a faithful servant until God called him home.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and godfather.
Deacon Leeks was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Beatrice Leeks, sister Daisy Leeks Harris and Son Anthony D. Pritchard.
He is survived by his loving Wife Linda; Brother Min. Woodrow Leeks (Josephine) Orlando, FL; grand children: Andre, Tihesha, Lakeisha, Antoine, and Antroin; twelve great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; nephew (like a son) Rev. Woodrow Leeks, II (Gloria), Orlando, FL; sister-in-laws, Cynthia McIntyre (Veryl), Lynn Haven, FL, and Andrea Turks (Bernard), Orlando, FL; brothers-in-laws: Wayne Reese (Marva), Leesburg, FL, and Eric Reese (Stephanie), Adamsville, FL; aunt: Irene Bowles, Marianna, FL, step-mother-in-law: Joan Reese, Leesburg, FL; goddaughters: Tiffany Ogiste, Jasmine McKeithan, Jasmine Wright and Jaden Jordan; and a host of devoted and loving nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
