Obituary for Sarah Jane Parker
On Friday, the 24th of April 1931, Sarah Solomon Parker was born to the parents of the late Reverend Benjamin and Lillie Solomon.
Sarah begun her life journey in Royal, Florida. At an early age Sarah joined Second Bethel Baptist Church in Royal where she was baptized and served as a faithful choir member and Mother of the church.
On Wednesday, the 29th of July, God summoned Sarah to her heavenly home, fulfilling the will of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Toby Parker, her son, Julius Parker, her daughter, Jacqueline (Conel) Crockton, three brothers and two sisters.
To cherish her precious memories, she leaves one loving son, Benjamin (Linda) Solomon and six devoted daughters, Carnie Presley, Rosetta (Leroy) Lucas, Lillie (Gregory) Smith, Bettie (Leroy) Snow, Lillie (Clifford) Shells and Gwendolyn (Ernie) Massey. She also leaves a God- Daughter, Dorothy Sesler, a sister- in- law, Louise Solomon, a special niece Cathy Neal, two special friends, Joyce Williams and Margie Erving, her extended families, the Gordon and Mobley families, 29 grandchildren, 81 great- grandchildren, 31 great- great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and grieving friends.
