Obituary for Leroy Poole
On November 9, 1943, Leroy Poole was born to Bloneve Poole in Leesburg FL, and was an only child. In his earlier years, his friends called him “Shyster”. Leroy was a graduate of Carver Heights High School. While in High School, he excelled in the sports of Basketball and Football, and was quite a singer. Upon graduating from High School, Leroy entered the United States Army, and was honorable discharge after serving during the Vietnam War. Leroy fought a long courageous battle with cancer, however, on September 7, 2012, he left his earthly home and awaits resurrection to a new life with the Lord.
Leroy leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 20 years, Mary Bradshaw-Poole; a loving Mother, Bloneva Poole; five Loving children, Anthony Dale (Rosemary) Poole, Chesapeake, VA; La’Rona Shirlette Poole, Ft Myers, FL; Antonio Bradshaw-Poole, Leesburg FL; Andrea (Samuel) Bradshaw-Solomon, Lakewood, WA; and Step-Son Sherman Bradshaw, Leesburg, FL; four Aunts, Claretha Williams, Leesburg, FL; AliceMae Hill, Orlando, FL; Altamease Siplin, Orlando, FL; Teresa Poole, Mount Dora, FL; One Uncle, Clifford Poole, Jr., Orlando, FL; two special cousins, Toni Williamson-Diggs, and Rose Berry, both of Leesburg, FL; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. Homegoing Service will be held 2pm, Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Mt. Olive Progressive Baptist Church, 405 S. Childs Street, Leesburg, FL., Rev. James Brown, Officiating.
