Obituary for Larry Tenner
Mr. Larry Tenner, the son of Shirley Ivey and Claude Edward Tenner (Chedene), was born September 21, 1967. He was called home to rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Vita (Hospice House), Lecanto, FL.
He was educated in the Citrus County school system in Inverness, Florida. He was employed with Citrus County Road Maintenance where he worked for many years.
As a child, along with his mother and other siblings, Larry attended Grace Temple Church of Floral City under the stewardship of Pastor Leroy Bellamy. Later in life he was baptized at St. James A.M.E. Church, Inverness, FL, under the leadership of Pastor Angelo Gerald.
Larry loved sports of all kinds. He played Pee Wee through Junior League Baseball as a child. His favorite sport was football and he loved the Miami Hurricanes. If they were playing he was watching. He was also a fan of the San Francisco 49ers and enjoyed watching the games, especially the Super Bowl with his brothers. Larry loved to cook, grill and entertain family and friends. His smile could light up a room and he was always the life of family gatherings.
He was preceded in death by, his baby brother, Christopher Tenner.
Larry leaves to cherish his loving memories: His daughter Azia Tenner, his three adopted sons Ade Jones, Braxton DeCaro all of Vero Beach, FL and Warren Styles of Ashburn, VA. Also, two adopted daughters Erika Polgar and Cheryl Hutchins, his parents, three brothers, Brother Harry Tenner (Brenda), Claude Tenner Jr. (Lisa) of Inverness, FL and Eddie Wells of South Bend, IN, three sisters, Ms. Rachel Whaley, Chrishna Tenner and LaToya Tenner all of Inverness, FL, one uncle Willie Clark of FL, four aunts, Everlena Hunter of New Jersey, Daisey Ballard of Phoenix, AZ, Mamie L. Cain of Fayette, MS, Geneva Rogers (Larry) of Gautier, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted grandchildren and loving friends.
