Obituary for Jesse Lee James, Sr.
Jesse Lee James Sr. was born September 14, 1938 in Wildwood, Florida to The Late Hamp & Bernice James.
He was a graduate in the class of 1956 where he attended J. R. E. Lee High School. Six years later he decided to relocate to Rochester, New York where he began his employment with Kodak, Inc. He was dedicated to his job for 25 years. Once he decided on retirement, there was no doubt in his mind that Florida would be where he would begin building his family home. Jesse was truly committed to his family.
Some of the joys of Jesse life were Auto Mechanic, being outdoors, and he was an all-around handy man.
Jesse would often visit a few churches in the community; he did have the knowledge of Jesus Christ. On August 18, 2020 @ 8:00 AM his daughter, Alesia Foster had the honor of leading her Dad to Jesus Christ and we know that Heaven Rejoiced.
Jesse leaves to cherish his memories, his dedicated and loving wife, Angelina James, Five Daughters: H. Alesia Foster, Stacey (Donnie) Knight, Shanise Taylor-Ramdeo & Shenea James, Desiree’ James, Five Sons: Jesse (Vongela) James Jr., & Jeffery James, Frank James, Moses (Shantell) Kelly, Michael Kelly, One Sisters: Rosemary Stokes, Thirty Grandchildren, Five Great-Grandchildren, One Aunt: Delvernia Lewis, Three Brothers-in-Law: Wilton Williams, Earl Williams, & Orlando Williams, Two Sisters-in-Law: Mary Louis & Rosemary Bush, Four Best Friends: Robert Snowden, June Taylor, King Hubbert, & Darryl Muse, Two Special Heartbeats: Vanity Kelly & Jada Foster, a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & Friends.
