Obituary for Jermaine "Shack" Mills
Jermaine “Shack” Mills was born on November 14th, 1979 in Gainesville, Florida to parents Bruce Newton and Linnette Shackleford (Mills).
Jermaine is preceded in death by his step-father Junior Mills and grandmother Minnie Ruth Shackleford.
The loving and bigger than life spirit of Jermaine was called to enter Gods’ kingdom on August 11th, 2020 after a hard-fought battle with Coronavirus.
Jermaine leaves to cherish his memory six beautiful children:
Jermesha Shackleford, Tremaine Shackleford, Jeremiah Shackleford, Trentyn Shackleford, Josiah Shackleford, and Trinity Shackleford. Additionally, he leaves his mother Linnette Mills, sister Diana Hurt and brother Dejuan Mills. Furthermore, he leaves four nephews, and over 30 plus cousins.
To know Jermaine was to know one of Gods’ most talented skillful children. Jermaine was one who worked diligently doing that which brought him happiness but most of all he was a loving and supporting father. Jermaine also loved to go salt and fresh water fishing with occasional trips to the beach which gave him much needed relaxation. As Jermaine is absent from the body and present with the Lord he would want all of us to remember him for being one to bring laughter through his Facebook post, his hard-working spirit, bigger than life personality, compassion for family and friends and love for his children.
