Her life journey began on March 30, 1933. She was born to the late Henry Colton and Viola Colton in Center Hill, Florida.
She was a resident of Webster, Florida all of her life in which she encountered and maintained many lifelong friendships. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at a very young age.
March 12, 2013, Inez was summoned to her heavenly resting place. She was preceded in death by her sons John Dean McMullen, Zachary Earl Thompkins, Gary Keith Thompkins, Sister Irene Colton and Brother Aaron Colton.
She leaves to cherish her memories. Her loving and caring Sons, William V. Thompkins, Sr., (Joanne Baker), Raleigh McMullen, Daughter, Iris D. Thompkins, Grandchildren, April L. Thompkins, Shania Thompkins, William V. Thompkins Jr., Nephews, Edwin Godfrey, Anton Mallard, Rashad Colton, Nieces, Viola Johnson, Cheryl Colton and Shawranda Green, Adopted Goddaughter, Annette Tillman, Adopted Godson, Jeffrey Jackson, Ex-Husband, Tommy E. Thompkins (Johnny), Ex-Brothers-in-Law, Willie Thompkins, Roy Thompkins, Ex-Sister-in-Law, Mattie Jenkins, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.Â
Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00A.M., March 23, 2013, at Christian Love Center, 733 N.W. 10th Avenue, Webster, FL. Bishop E. Dion Blaine. Bishop Lee Otha Bullard, Officiating.   Final interment will be immediately after the service in the South Sumter Evergreen Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
