Obituary for Ethel Lucille Turner
Ethel Louise Turner, age 95, transitioned to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
She was born March 2, 1926, in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Early and Minnie Ransom.
She was educated in the Philadelphia School System, where in later tears she was gainfully employed and eventually retired from the classroom. She married Harry Turner who preceded her in death; her son Ronald Ransom and nephew Dennis Nottingham also preceded her in death.
She was loyal member of Mother Bethel church in Philadelphia, where she resided for most of her life. One of her favorite hymns was “Blessed Assurance”.
In her golden years she moved to Florida, to live with her son Eugene Ransom, Sr., and his wife Mary. Several years later due to progressing dementia and to support her needs more efficiently, she moved to Mayfield Retirement Center, where she spent the remainder of her life.
