Ms. Carolyn Taylor Hart started her life’s journey on November 15, 1950, in Denver, Colorado. She was raised
by her parents, Mary Magdalene Hadley and James “JD” Hadley.
At the tender age of 13, she relocated to Bushnell, Florida, where she would grow, thrive, and ultimately leave an
indelible mark on her community. She attended the local schools of Sumter County and proudly graduated from
Mills High School. In time, Carolyn united in holy matrimony with the love
of her life, Mr. Daniel Hart. Their union was one rooted in
love and faith, and though he preceded her in death, their
bond remained eternal. Carolyn dedicated most of her adult life to serving others
as a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide. Her professional journey included
meaningful service at Bruce Manor in Clearwater, Florida, and Avante Nursing Home in Leesburg, Florida. Her
calling to care for others extended beyond employment.Driven by both skill and heart, she later established her
own successful private-duty nursing service, embodying her deep commitment to humanity.
A devoted mother, Carolyn’s love for her children was unmistakable. Though they grew into productive adults,
she forever affectionately called them her “Babies.” Carolyn’s love for her grandchildren was pure joy in
motion. They were the light of her life, and she treasured every laugh, every hug, and every moment spent pouring
love into them. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her immediate family. Her home was a refuge, a place of
comfort, and often a sanctuary for those in need. Whether offering a warm meal, a hot shower, or simply a listening
ear, Carolyn created a space where love lived freely. Carolyn’s personality was larger than life. She was the life
of every gathering, quick-witted, humorous, and full of joy. Her jokes would leave audiences in stitches, laughter
echoing long after she spoke. She possessed undeniable “main character” energy, commanding attention with
grace, humor, and authenticity. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life. A
devoted member of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church of Bushnell, Carolyn served faithfully as the minister
of music. On Sunday mornings, her voice rang out in powerful, soul-stirring hymns that uplifted and inspired
the congregation. As directress of the church choirs, she led with passion, excellence, and a heart devoted to praise.
Carolyn was also a woman of remarkable style and elegance. A true fashionista, she took pride in her
appearance. Her flawless hair, stylish outfits, flirty eyelashes, perfectly manicured nails, and dazzling
jewelry were all expressions of her vibrant personality. She loved being “dolled up,” and she wore her confidence
as beautifully as she wore her finest attire. Above all, Carolyn was a friend to humanity. She loved deeply, gave
freely, and lived boldly. Her legacy is one of compassion, faith, joy, and unwavering generosity.
Our Mama was our greatest teacher and our forever protector. She loved us beyond measure and carried
us through every season of life with strength, grace, and unwavering faith. Even as adults, she called us her
“Babies,” and we wear that title with honor. We are thankful for every sacrifice, every prayer, every laugh,
and every lesson. Our Mama showed us what it means to love, to serve, and to stand tall in faith. Though our
hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing that she is resting in the arms of the Lord whom she loved so dearly. Though
she has taken her rest, her laughter will echo, her love will endure, and her light will continue to shine in the hearts
of all who were blessed to know her.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Hart; daughter, Rhonda Massey; grandson, Derrick
Godfrey; great-granddaughter, Jaela Jones and Summer Sanders; and parents, Mary and James “JD” Hadley.
