He is predeceased by his parents and brothers, Bobby Smith Jr. and Darrell Johnson.
Al is survived by his wife, Benetia Johnson; his children, Tihlo Woods, Desiree Hughes, Bianca (Dennis) Peacock, Alvesco (Oprah) Johnson Jr., Aldon Johnson, Alfonso Johnson, Antwan Williams and Me’Chell Glenn; his siblings, Leon Williams Sr., Nolan (Linda) Johnson, Wynonia Johnson, Marva (Fransisco) Alvarado, Tracy Johnson, Perlena (Lorenzo) Brooks, Jerome Smith, Ethel Mobley, Roy (Joneicia) King, Cynthia King and Tillman King.
Al leaves behind a host of grandchildren and extended family to cherish his memories.
